In the Shape of a Heart

And now for something completely different...

no flames, no scales, no wings... wtf? Heh, well sometimes I do draw things that aren't dragons or even monsters. This started as a random little doodle that I decided to draw out properly and paint. Of course, my scanner destroyed the reds but I've done what I can to fix them.

At risk to my hard woman of metal persona (ha ha) I do in fact enjoy a bit of Jackson Browne. Hey, I was raised on my Dad's music collection of ZZ Top, Jackson Browne, Eagles and Dire Straits so sue me Anyway, the song of the above title popped into my head while I was painting, this phrase in particular:
"You keep it up
You try so hard
To keep a life from coming apart
And never know
What breaches and faults are concealed
In the shape of a heart"

so true.
