Half a dragon by drakhenliche Half a dragon by drakhenliche
Indian ink, Dr PH Martins Hydrus Fine Art watercolour (carbon black) and radiant concentrated watercolour (sunset red).

Received some sad news in the last couple days. Sadly my Grandfather passed away. 95 is a grand age to reach and he lived a full life that should be celebrated. I'm ok but feeling pensive. I felt the need to draw but didn't want to do anything too involved so opted for Random Dragon Time.

Thanks for the compliment! Unfortunately I don't do requests - I take paid commissions though ;)

I'm sorry about your grandfather.

The dragon is absolutely gorgeous.

Lovely therapeutic composition, kind of reaching out into another realm. You're right to celebrate his life rather than recognise your own loss, you do him credit by honouring his memory. x
