Melodramatic title? nah...

Shaded with watercolour, then scanned and coloured. I almost put some lightning in there but it looked just slightly too cheesy.


.. I was actually in the shittiest mood ever when I drew this chap but having this to concentrate on helped.

The wonderful person who critiqued this above made several good points, but I'd like to emphasize on a few important ideas I think yould help you:
Lighting I think is good. Love the design of the dragon and his expression.
The thing I think I'm seeing as an issue with your piece might be that your impact is rather killed by the pose of the dragon. For instance, could we maybe have seen that mouth toward us? That arm does need some foreshortening effects - it needs to look a lot bigger so that we can feel a 3D effect.
Love the background you used, very appropriate!
