Commission for someone I know out in the real world, who wanted it as a gift for her husband.

I've been a bit quiet art-wise these last few weeks. I put it down to being generally quite busy of late rather than artist block... I'm either off doing stuff or kicking back and relaxing so this is the first picture I've completed in a few weeks.

It would appear I've not escaped that rash of blue dragons yet... but then this is a commissioned piece and that's the colour my customer wanted so I obliged thusly!

I was given a lot of freedom with the design provided I included a few certain things, like some fire and the cards. This was fun.

Tria markers and gel pen on A4 bristol board.

Very expressive. I like the fire in his hand, it is a good add for the personalization.Awesome work on the scales and others textures, like the skin of his head. I do not understand why there is cards in his other hand, but it fit strangely with it. :)

Oooh wow this looks lovely 8DDDD I adore the colouring work :aww: the colour scheme is awesome :) I have a soft spot for blue Dragons :XD: they always look so funky n_n and you did a lovely job on the shading too :heart: the tones and shades look really smooth and really even ^_^ and the fire effects look really nice too n_n Lovely work on the line-art details as well :heart: the scales are so well drawn and layered :D and the details in the face are really cool too 8DDD Awesome work on the pose :heart: the anatomy is really flowing and cool :love: :D and the claws are really well placed too 8D also brilliant job on the expression :D I love all of the life you put into the face :D lovely piccy!!! :3
