Full view, peas: I kept the image big to show the detail a bit better.
This is the first full-body piece I've done of Bloodbane for ages and ages and ages. The trees were thrown in more for scale than anything else 'cos he's b.i.g. No wonder Blackjack gets annoyed at his curse trapping him in his current form when this is what he's supposed to look like.
His right arm is conveniently out of view, in case you wanted to know where it is, and I don't know what his right leg's climbing onto. Rocks or something.
3-4 hours drawing/inking, 5 hours in Photoshop. My wrist feels like I'm getting r.s.i.
*edit* thought about what Nadash said, and quickly went back to add some more shading. Hopefully that arm stands out better now!
Highlights are too bright for me. Should have varied the highlight brightness for each part of the body. The arm is almost camoflaged on that body. Still, awesome dragon. Very good job.
Cheers I might go back and do individual highlights tomorrow, but right now my wrist hurts too much!
It's too bright on my pc too: for some reason my plasma screen makes everything too bright, leading me to create jpgs that are too dark on most normal monitors, so usually I just crank up the brightness to compensate. I'll strike a happy balance some day.
